DG-INSSSL invited for 18th ‘Shangrila Dialogue’ in Singapore

Sri Lanka was invited by International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) for the 18th
Asia Security Summit the ‘Shangrila Dialogue’, 31-2nd June 2019 in Singapore.
This years chief guest was Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Haien Loong, there
were 33 ministerial-level delegates and over 30 chiefs of defence forces and
senior defence officials as well as academics from 47 countries who
participated in this year’s summit.
The
IISS Asia Security Summit ‘The Shangri-La Dialogue’ is a ‘Track One’ inter-governmental
security forum held annually by an independent think tank, the IISS, which is
attended by defence ministers, permanent heads of ministries, military chiefs
and security experts of Asia-Pacific states.
