The second and final day of the 'Colombo Air Symposium - 2023' took place on October 10th, 2023, at the Eagles Lakeside Banquet & Convention Hall in Attidiya, Ratmalana. The final session was moderated by Professor Maneesha Wanasinghe Pasqual, and Ms Charani Patabendige, Acting Analyst, and Research Assistant at the Institute of National Security Studies, presented a paper. The other speaker was Commodore SPVK Senadheera. Ms Charani Patabendige’s presentation was titled, “Analyzing Air Connectivity, Air Diplomacy, and National Security in Sri Lanka-India Relations.” In her presentation, she highlighted the crucial role of enhanced air connectivity by using Indo-Sri Lanka relations as a case study. She investigated the impact on diplomatic ties, economic collaborations, and regional stability, providing profound insights into national security. In a landscape of evolving threats, her research underscored the significance of strategic air partnerships.
