Director General Colonel Herath of the Institute of National Security Studies Paid a Courtesy Call on His Excellency the High Commissioner of Maldives to Sri Lanka H.E Masood Imad

The Director Media & Spokesman, Ministry of Defence and Overlocking Director General and Acting Director (Research) of the Institute of National Security Studies (INSS) of Sri Lanka, Colonel Nalin Herath RSP paid a courtesy call on His Excellency the High Commissioner of Maldives to Sri Lanka H.E Masood Imad at the office of the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka today (29th October 2024).

During this maiden courtesy call, Colonel Nalin Herath RSP highlighted the vision and mission of the Institute of National Security Studies (INSS), the premier think tank on national security established and functioning under the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka. Importantly, the High Commissioner Masood Imad, as a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in media, information technology, and airport management also highlighted the importance of further strengthening the bridges of bilateral historic friendship with the Government of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives, knowledge and information sharing through Think Tanks of both countries.

Moreover, the High Commissioner Masood Imad and Colonel Nalin Herath RSP both highlighted the importance of enhancing regional cooperation through Think Tanks to further strengthen the national and collective security of regional countries.
