A delegation from Japan, led by the President of the National Institute for Defence Studies (NIDS) under the Ministry of Defence in Japan, Mr. Manabu Imakyurei, recently visited the Institute of National Security Studies (INSS), the premiere think tank on National Security in Sri Lanka.
The delegation was warmly received by the overlooking Director General and Acting Director (Research) of INSS, Colonel Nalin Herath. During the visit, both parties engaged in productive discussions on potential collaborations and future engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties in the realm of security and defence studies.
To mark the occasion, mementos were exchanged, symbolizing the significance of the partnership between the two institutions. The Defence and Security Advisor to the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, Captain Yuki Yokohari and the staff of INSS were also present at the event.
