INSS Director General Colonel Nalin Herath Speaks at International Conference in Kathmandu

Colonel Nalin Herath, Director General of the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), represented Sri Lanka at a high-profile international conference held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from March 30 to April 1, 2025. The event, titled “South Asia's Stability in a Turbulent World: The European Union's Role in Shaping Regional Resilience,” brought together experts, policymakers and strategic thinkers from across the region.

Organized jointly by the Consortium of South Asian Think Tanks (COSATT) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the conference provided a platform for in-depth dialogue on emerging security challenges, regional cooperation and the evolving geopolitical landscape of South Asia.

Colonel Herath addressed the gathering, sharing insights on regional security architecture, the strategic importance of multilateral engagement and the potential avenues for enhancing resilience through collaboration with global partners.

Colonel Herath also extended his appreciation to Dr. Nishchal Pandey, the Director of the Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) and his team for their excellent organization and continued commitment to regional dialogue and research.
