Colonel Nalin Herath, Director General of the Institute of National Security Studies (INSS), was recently invited to deliver a lecture at the Department of Public Policy and Management, Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). The session focused on the emerging and critical issue of climate security, highlighting its implications for regional stability and national policy frameworks.
The lecture was held coinciding with the Consortium of South Asian Think Tanks (COSATT) conference and Colonel Herath engaged with a vibrant audience of young scholars, faculty members and policy enthusiasts, offering valuable insights into the nexus between climate change and security. His lecture emphasized the importance of proactive policy responses, international cooperation and youth engagement in addressing climate-induced risks.
