INSSSL Defence Quarterly

National Security Think Tank’s “INSSSL Defence Quarterly” Launched The Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (INSSSL), premier national think tank of the Ministry of Defence launched its inaugural newsletter “INSSSL Defence Quarterly” on 7th December. The first publication to be released by the Institute, is an effort to bring together news and events that took place at the institute during the quarter (September - December) 2016 since setting up the institute. The newsletter includes reports of events conducted at INSSSL as well as its collaborations and networks with other regional and international think tanks; international conferences attended and an article written by one of the Institute’s researchers. According to Mr.Asanga Abeyagoonasekera Director General INSSSL “We had an eventful first few months at the institute, this inaugural newsletter will generate greater interest and discussion on national security issues and encourage further action and collaboration in this important area of study”. INSSSL was established with the vision “to improve policy and decision making through high-quality research and analysis with excellence” with a mission to continuously support the Ministry of Defence through high-quality research for the formulation and execution of strategic policies and plans for a safe, secure and sovereign nation.
